Reflection - The Community College Education Diploma Program is a two-year, 10-credit professional development program for new faculty and professional staff at NSCC. The program covers areas of academic preparation including theoretical and applied notions of teaching adult students, historical and organizational behaviour issues relating to the contemporary community college, program and course design, a peer mentorship, and a required practicum. I completed the program in just over 3 years of course development, study and PLAR activity. This program is a requirement for tenure at the college.
